Paint Stain Removal

Oil-based paint on washable material, scrape off as much as possible, then sponge with white spirit and then soapy water; wash. On non-washable material, scrape off as much as possible with a little white spirit, then sponge with clean water; dab dry with kitchen paper towel.

Almost impossible to remove if the paint has dried.

Emulsion paint stain removal: sponge with cold water then wash immediately.

On washable material, cold rinse, and soak overnight in heavy-duty washing powder, then wash. On non-washable material take to the cleaners.
