Stain Removal: Cooking

Tomato Ketchup has a clever second use: to clean the base of copper-bottomed pans. Pour some over the bottom of the pan and leave for a few minutes. Then rub the ketchup in, and wash it off.

If disaster strikes and you burn a pan, leave some cold tea to soak in the pan for a few hours. The black burnt-in crust will them come away easily.

To clean an aluminium pan, boil the peel of an apple in some water in the pan. This will make it much easier to clean the pan afterwards.
